Spain's Atresmedia is broadcasting its oldest international network, Antena 3 Internacional, in high definition (HD) throughout Latin America via pay-TV operators.
The channel is already being aired in HD for the US audience.
The announcement was made during NATPE, where the Spanish media group also officially unveiled the rebranding of Atres Series. After a year on-air across Latin America, the series-themed network launched in Spain under the Atreseries brand, but then the company decided to merge both brands.
Through Atreseries, Atresmedia will also present one of its latest fictional series, Mar de Plástico, at NATPE. The Boomerang TV-produced drama has averaged over 3.5 million viewers on Spain's Antena 3 and has now premiered internationally on Atreseries.
"We're coming back to NATPE very excited to find out first-hand what operators' plans are for 2016,” said Mar Martínez Raposo, international director of Atresmedia. “For our part, we'll also be presenting lots of new releases on our channels' portfolio.”
