beIN Sports scores ratings win with Spanish-speaking US cable nets

The exclusive broadcast of La Liga football and original studio programming have landed three of the top five sports telecasts among Spanish-language audiences in the US for beIN Sports.
According to data from Nielsen, the Al Jazeera sports subsidiary’s coverage of the Real Madrid vs. Real Betis match on 24 January outperformed the Somos LMX original studio show on Univision Deportes, and prior to the Real Madrid match, an audience of 193,000 average total viewers tuned in to watch Atlético de Madrid vs. Sevilla on beIN Sports en Español.
The company added that all beIN Sports en Español’s La Liga matches which aired on that day, including Deportivo vs. Valencia, averaging 125,000 total viewers, out-delivered competing Hispanic network broadcasts including: Univision Deportes coverage of Argentinian football, Fox Deportes’ Bundesliga match and Fox Deportes’ NFL NFC Championship broadcast featuring Arizona vs. Carolina, which delivered an average 104,000 total viewers.
