DirecTV, all3media take The Missing across LATAM

Following a content distribution agreement, all3media international and DirecTV will air The Missing in several Latin American territories.



The Golden Globe and BAFTA nominee will broadcast on OnDirecTV – both through the SD and the HD feeds – in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. In addition, after airing on pay-TV, each episode will be available on-demand for the TV everywhere platform DirecTV Play.

The eight episodes of The Missing have been produced by New Pictures and Company Pictures (an all3media company) for the UK's BBC One and the US' Starz. Two Brothers Pictures, Playground Entertainment, BNP Paribas Fortis Film Fund and Czar TV have also collaborated on the series.

Written by Harry and Jack Williams and directed by Tom Shankland, the British production has already confirmed a second season. The first season follows a father whose child has been kidnapped during holidays.

The cast includes James Nesbitt (The Hobbit), Frances O'Connor (A.I. Artificial Intelligence) and Tcheky Karyo (Nikita).
