Sony Pictures Television Networks is to launch an Android and iOS TV everywhere and video-on-demand (VOD) platform for both AXN and Canal Sony across Latin America.

Although similar services – with the live TV signal and a catch-up catalogue – have been available through AXN and Canal Sony's websites, Sony is now going mobile by adding apps for the most commonly used devices.

During February, several pay-TV operators are to give subscribers access to these platforms, which can be downloaded from the official stores.

The entire line-up won’t be available for app users, but the most iconic series will be included, such as Canal Sony's Grey’s Anatomy, The Voice, Once Upon a Time and The Blacklist, and AXN's Crossing Lines, Hannibal, CSI: Cyber and Criminal Minds.

Among the operators offering access to the TV everywhere and VOD service are DirectTV (Latin America and the Caribbean), Cablevision (Argentina and Uruguay), Telecentro (Argentina), Dish, Axtel and Megacable (Mexico), SKY (Brasil) and ETB (Colombia).
