MTV inks deals for Prime entertainment content

Leading Viacom subsidiary MTV has revealed details of its recent shopping spree with Prime Entertainment Group for a number of different feeds.
RTVN 3 feb 2016 Primie ViacomOn the heels of completing deals for Prime’s Hollywood’s Best Film Directors on the Paramount Channel in Latin America, Viacom has acquired for MTV, 60x26’ episodes from the Funny Clips collection Best Of Fun produced in 2015 for its African division. At the same time Viacom Russia has signed for MTV a package including 50 episodes of cinema Magazine Hollywood On Set and 10x6’30” of Zoom In. Viacom Spain has also acquired the same series while Viacom Central Europe has taken up acquired 91x4’ Stars! and 200x4’ Directors Short Cut for Romania and Hungary.
The Viacom deals follow a successful NAPTE for Prime. “Viacom is a major actor in the market; this is really a plus for us that they are in so many territories,” commented Prime Entertainment Group MD David Fredyt. “Once we start working with one of their branches, if they are pleased with the quality of our catalogue it helps when we introduce our shows to the other ones. Great satisfaction to have all these major channels on board, and stay tuned: we will have very soon even more to announce”.
