Mediapro opens third LATAM production centre

Spain's Mediapro has built a third production centre in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from which PromTV, Promofilm and NBC Universal promotions' team are to operate.



mediapro argentinaThe new facility joins the Mediacenter, which mainly produces content for ESPN Latin America, and INCAA TV, the TV network of Argentina's audiovisual national institute.

The new facility has an integrated audio department with two ProTool rooms for edition, mixing and equalising, and a video area with three rooms equipped with AVID Media Composer Symphony.

In addition, the Mediapro centre includes four graphic edition facilities with Adobe CS6 package on Apple equipment, graphics tablet and 4K screens.

The entire infrastructure is connected to a central network which is linked to an Interplay database and a MediaCentral server which already houses 1,800 hours of HD video. An ASPERA server is equipped for improving data traffic.

Apart from production facilities, the building includes a large exhibition space with HD digital interactive screens which is Mediapro's first corporate exhibition centre outside Spain.
