Zee’s Hindi general entertainment channel &TV has acquired the rights of the international dance reality TV format So You Think You Can Dance from Dick Clark Productions.
The localised version of the show will be produced by Endemol Shine India for &TV.
The pay-TV channel has begun the online registration process for applicants, but has not yet set a date for either auditions or transmission of the Indian version of So You Think You Can Dance.
The original show was created by American Idol producers Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe, and is produced by Core Media Group’s 19 Entertainment and Dick Clark Productions.
&TV is no stranger to airing localised versions of international formats, having premiered The Voice of India in 2015. Zee is also home to the hit dance show Dance India Dance.
