DreamWorks becomes reality in Singapore

Pay-TV operator StarHub has teamed up with DreamWorks Animation to launch the DreamWorks Channel in Singapore, becoming its third home in Asia.
Already available in Thailand and Malaysia, the DreamWorks Channel will be available in high definition (HD) on the StarHub cable TV network from 3 March, along with an on-demand service. English and Mandarin language options will be immediately offered, along with content including Dragons: Race to the Edge, from the How to Train Your Dragon franchise, and Dinotrux.
Series set to launch on the new channel include All Hail King Julien, The Adventures of Puss in Boots, Dawn of the Croods, The Mr Peabody & Sherman Show, as well as special shorts Kung Fu Panda: Secrets of the Furious Five and Secrets of the Masters, to coincide with the release of the movie Kung Fu Panda 3.
A daily morning preschool block, DreamWorks Junior, will feature shows such as Raa Raa The Noisy Lion and Guess with Jess.
“DreamWorks Animation is a household name synonymous with quality family entertainment and we are excited that StarHub TV customers will be the first in Singapore to enjoy the DreamWorks Channel,” said Howie Lau, chief marketing officer, StarHub.
A channel preview will be available for free to all StarHub TV customers from launch to 20 March. After then the channel and on-demand service will be available for subscription under StarHub TV’s Supreme Box Office Pack (SGD28.90 per month) and the DreamWorks Pack (SGD8.56 per month). Both will also be accessible on StarHub Go, StarHub’s online streaming service delivered on-demand, over-the-top (OTT) and on any device.
HBO Asia is managing affiliate sales, marketing and technical services for the new channel.
