Cablevision Monterrey's Television Internacional (TVI) has chosen Arris to increase its HD channel offer.
hdThe project includes installation of 16 APEX3000s, replacing the centralised APEX1000s in Monterrey's headend and marking the first APEX3000 deployment in Mexico.
In addition, TVI has chosen Arris Global Services to converge its current quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) services into Edge QAM through the APEX3000 in order to increase bandwidth effectiveness.
The Arris converged video and data platform will provide TVI with network scalability to deliver IP-based services and digital TV content.
“We partnered with Arris to bring the future of TV to our customers,” said Jorge Diaz, CTO at TVI. “The APEX3000 enables us to streamline our broadcast delivery today and expand our HD channel offerings tomorrow. The Arris Global Services team provided the expertise and support to switch platforms quickly and reliably.”
“It's a big step forward for TVI in delivering video services and introduces our QAM platform to Latin America,” said German Iaryczower, SVP of sales, Caribbean and Latin America, Arris. “The APEX3000 platform is proven for large-scale global deployments, and our work with TVI introduces its next-generation capabilities to the region.”
