Over-the-top (OTT) video operator YipTV has added Louis Holder as CTO.

Holder and YipTV co-founder Michael Tribolet have worked together in the past at Vonage — Tribolet is Vonage president. As the former co-founder of Vonage as well as president and co-founder of Vonage Mobile, Holder developed new product strategy with an emphasis on mobility. He was also responsible for Vonage's technology infrastructure, products and support services, including systems development and web application development.

"Lou and I worked together during the early days at Vonage. What an amazing opportunity to work with him again in building another scalable, direct to consumer media-based business," said Michael Tribolet, CEO, YipTV. "Once again, we are working together to disrupt the consumer market. This time, we want to change the way people watch TV just like we changed the way consumers make phone calls worldwide by flattening price and broadening their options."

YipTV went live in early May 2015 with 50 channels, added another 21 by July, surpassed the 90-channel threshold when ten FilmBox channels were added in September, and recently passed the century mark with the addition of channels such as Canal 22, France 24, Tastytrade, ShowBusiness TV, Fix & Foxi, Heroes Adventure, Motor TV, Euronews English, Euronews Portugese, Euronews Spanish, Motors TV, the Outdoor Sport Channel and Vibrant TV.

Holder will be responsible for building YipTV's infrastructure to support future growth. Before joining YipTV, Holder was CEO of Innovaci, a US-based consumer product company focused on smart appliance innovations in the health and wellness market sector.

Previous positions include COO at ooVoo and CTO of the OTT platform company Narrowstep, which had a successful exit in 2008. Holder has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering from NYU Polytechnic University.
