StarHub TV is adding three Filipino channels from the GMA Network to its pay-TV service in Singapore.

The new entertainment and news channels – GMA Pinoy TV, GMA Life TV, and GMA On Demand – will be added to the IPTV service on 16 March. They include both English language and Tagalog programmes.

“We are glad to partner StarHub as we broaden our reach in Singapore and offer more quality content to Filipinos living away from home in as many ways as possible,” said Joseph Jerome T Francia, first vice president and head of international operations, GMA.

Lee Soo Hui, head of media business unit, StarHub, added: “With fresh programming that will range from current affairs to light-hearted variety and talk shows, to heart-warming dramas and blockbuster movies, we are confident that the launch of GMA Pinoy TV, GMA Life TV and GMA On Demand will be able to fulfil the various viewing needs of the [Filipino] population, and bring home closer to their hearts”.

StarHub has 536,000 households subscribing to its IPTV pay-TV service in Singapore. Subscribers will be able to view the new channels as part of the Ultimate Pinoy pack or a standalone GMA Pack.

GMA’s flagship international channel GMA Pinoy TV will also be available on StarHub Go, StarHub’s over-the-top (OTT) streaming service for connected devices. GMA On Demand, which will initially offer about 16 hours of fresh content monthly, will also be accessible on StarHub Go.

A free preview of five Filipino channels — GMA Pinoy TV, GMA Life TV, ANC, The Filipino Channel and Cinema One Global — will be available on StarHub from 16 March to 31 March. After that, a subscription to the three GMA Network channels will cost S$16.05 a month or $29.90 a month for the Ultimate Pinoy Pack.
