Movistar+ taps Evertz to revamp production studios

Through Eurocom Broadcast, its local partner in Spain, Evertz has been selected by Movistar+ to renew the technological infrastructure of two production studios.



evertz vipTelefónica's pay-TV platform, which recently increased content production, has acquired both a routing and distribution matrix and a multiscreen system.

The EQX routing platform (16RU) frame supports frame sizes of 288x288 or 288x576 using double density outputs. The HD 3G matrix includes Evertz's Xlink technology with high redundancy, which makes it ideal for demanding 24/7 environments.

The EQX line supports several kind of signals and formats, including SD-SDI, HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, DVB-ASI and SMPTE310, as well as IP gateway (IPG) and hybrid solutions SDVN.

The modular multi-image display system selected by Movistar+ is the Evertz VIP-X, which also integrates a control room routing platform Xenon EQX. It includes a 32 input system with up to 32 router outputs and 24 multi-image displays.
