Time Inc has debuted the GOLF Fix Finder, a free app on iOS and Android designed to help golfers of all levels improve their game.

GOLF Fix FinderThe digital service taps the network of GOLF's Top 100 Teachers in America for more than 140 sharply edited video lessons and drills, optimised for mobile viewing. Beginning today, the slate will be available across GOLF digital platforms and easily downloadable for offline viewing.

Golfers can choose from a menu of eight different categories ranging from driving to chipping to bunkers, and then drill down on specific needs based on common flaws and weaknesses. The ‘choose your own story’ approach leads to the most personally relevant instruction in the form of a short online video lesson from authorities like Claude Harmon II, Mark Blackburn and Kellie Stenzel.

Each individual tip can be favourited and saved for offline viewing and immediate accessibility under the ‘your lessons’ tab. There's also a Golf 101 glossary that helps beginners decipher swing lingo, plus simple social sharing tools throughout. The app will be continuously updated with more lessons and practice drills for all levels of players, along with other game-improvement goods, such as mental-game advice and golf-fitness primers.

The debut of the video-rich Fix Finder app comes on the heels of the launch of the live weekly digital show, GOLF LIVE, and GOLF will also be producing a series of live daily shows from the Masters featuring a range of editors and guests discussing the latest news, to be streamed on Golf.com.

“While the Internet does not lack for swing tips, it's not easy for golfers to find credible game-improvement advice customised to their specific faults in the easy and intuitive way that our free app delivers advice,” said Golf.com executive editor Alan Bastable. “With Fix Finder, it's as if you're getting a personalised lesson on the practice tee. It's going to make you better.”

“We're proud to present this brand new video-first digital product that was developed using GOLF's first-in-class expertise and network," said Patty Hirsch, Digital GM of Time Inc's Sports Group. “Fix Finder offers something new to the marketplace that not only will resonate with our readers and students of the game but presents a whole new range of opportunities for us to work with our clients in the digital video space.”

Official launch sponsors of GOLF's Fix Finder are Adidas, Geico and Srixon. Featured in the app at launch will also be a series of instructional videos from Srixon starring PGA pros Keegan Bradley and Smylie Kaufman.
