NAB 2016: VSN integrates SGL’s archive solutions

Spain’s VSN has integrated SGL’s archive solutions into its set of media management solutions.


vsn sglThe new tools will be presented at NAB Show where the companies will premiere their partnership. VSN has chosen SGL’s booth to hold two presentations discussing improvements that an end-to-end system can bring to the broadcast and media industries and VSN’s latest features incorporated to its suite of solutions for media management.

Both presentations will be focused on the integration carried out between VSNExplorer, VSN’s media-assets-management (MAM) solution, and SGL’s archive systems, which offers users a complete range of tools for managing and restoring all its archive content. The FlashNet archiving solution developed by the UK company allows users to maximise the efficiency and performance of every single part of the archive storage infrastructure, including near-line disk storage, LTO tape, optical disk and cloud.

In addition to this integration, VSN will also introduce its own end-to-end concept, which premiered at IBC. The concept combines traditional content management with new screens, creating a suite of solutions which aims to foster collaborative work among a company’s departments.

The Spanish company is also introducing latest integrations with Microsoft Azure, Avid Media Composer or a new fingerprinting service for content control.
