Spain’s RTVE has become official broadcaster of the World Padel Tour (WPT) in the country.


padelThrough its sports-themed free-to-air (FTA) network, Teledeporte, the public broadcaster will air most final rounds of the international paddle tennis circuit, after a partnership agreement with the WPT for the 2016 season.

In addition to live broadcasts, Teledeporte will produce dedicated programming with highlights of each match, results, classifications and interviews with some of the leading players.

“This partnership aims to promote a sport that has been constantly gaining fans in Spain in recent years, and currently has over four million amateur or professional players,” said RTVE.
