NAB 2016: AccuWeather brews up StormDirector+ for TV stations

AccuWeather has launched StormDirector+, which provides interactive, customisable and complete local weather presentations to television stations.



storm directorStormDirector+ offers an intuitive, user-friendly interface and workflow tools for customising each broadcast presentation, complimenting a station's branded look and feel. It includes mapping with radar, satellite, severe weather watches and warnings, comprehensive model data, health indices, social media, hourly and extended forecasts, and more.

"StormDirector+ provides the streamlined speed, flexibility, and level of customisation that stations are looking for, without any unneeded features or complexity."

StormDirector+ includes AccuWeather Advanced Warnings for more localised, advanced notice of impending severe weather, AccuWeather Future Radar and AccuWeather's patented MinuteCast, with minute-by-minute hyper-local precipitation forecasts for exact street addresses or GPS locations.

AccuWeather recently appointed Sarah Katt as vice-president of product development and operations for its network business.
