Video streaming aggregator JustWatch has launched its VOD service in Mexico.
JustWatch enables subscribers to search for content across several VOD providers, as if there was a single catalogue. At present it supports Netflix, blim, Filmin Latino, iTunes, Google Play, Crackle, PlayStation, Microsoft Store and Mubi.
After the arrival of Televisa’s blim earlier this year, and Filmin Latino and HBO Go in 2015, Mexico’s over-the-top (OTT) scene is getting richer and more complex, thus opening an opportunity for this kind of search tool.
Mexico represents JustWatch's first foray into a Spanish-speaking territory; the platform is already available in seven English-speaking countries (the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand) plus France, Germany and Brazil.
JustWatch works as a browser platform but has also Android and iOS apps for most of devices.
