HGTV has green lighted a second season of its popular home renovation and flipping series, Good Bones.
The US series stars the dynamic mother/daughter duo Karen E Laine and Mina Starsiak as they buy homes in serious disrepair — sometimes gutting them to the studs — and transform them into stunning remodels. Good Bones, which currently airs on Tuesdays, has attracted more than 14 million viewers since its premiere on 22 March. The 12-episode second season is scheduled to premiere in January 2017.
“Family units tackling major home renovations are hugely popular on our air, but what’s compelling about Good Bones is that we see an incredibly talented mother and daughter, who also happen to light up the screen, work together to complete renovations that improve an entire community,” said Allison Page, general manager, HGTV and DIY Network.
