All3Media hitches financial wagon to Caravan

In the latest of equity plays within the UK independent production sector, All3Media is to offer backing to factual indie television and film producer Caravan.
Founded by Dinah Lord and Juliet Singer in 2015, Caravan produces ambitious specialist factual programmes, arresting documentaries, current affairs and distinctive popular factual series for the UK, US and international markets. Its recent credits include Panorama – Britain’s Mental Health Crisis, A Royal Wedding: Indian Style and they are in production for Sky Arts, BBC Three and NHK and have funded development from DNI, Channel 4 and ITV.
Lord was previously executive produced at Brook Lapping, Swan Films, Silver River and Pulse Films for the UK and international broadcasters while Singer has previously developed, produced and directed factual programming for the BBC and several indies including Wall to Wall, Silver River and The Garden, both in the UK and US. Each has a number of big-ticket credits to their name.

Keith Havilland CEO of Haviland Digital and an independent film producer is also backing the company and will be joining the board. He added: “Caravan is an energetic TV start-up already producing work of extraordinary quality and intelligence. I can see them dazzling the television market over the next few years.”
