ESPN offers IPL final through Cricket Pass

ESPN will offer the final match of the 2016 VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) season through ESPN Cricket Pass, a subscription streaming service.



cricketViewers can watch the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore v Sunrisers Hyderabad for $4.99, accessible on computers, smartphones, tablets and connected devices through a dedicated website and app. The purchase includes live and replay streaming for the final match in English.

On Sunday at 10:10 am ET, US cricket fans can see who will be crowned the champion of the most popular domestic T20 cricket tournament in the world. Sony Pictures Networks (SPN) India said that it has reached a cumulative total of 317 million pay-TV homes for its Indian Premier League (IPL) T20 cricket coverage during the past four weeks.

2016 marks the ninth season for the Indian Premier League (IPL). Founded in 2007 by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), it consists of eight franchises in major Indian cities, and features many of the top Twenty20 cricketers from around the world competing in a 60-match tournament over six and a half weeks. Each of the teams played against each other twice, followed by a knockout phase of two Qualifiers matches and an Eliminator match leading up to the final on Sunday.

In addition to ESPN’s own offering, matches are also available to purchase via pay per view through DISH, Verizon FiOS, Hotwire Communications, RCN and Mediacom.
