Cable ONE launches HBO GO on TiVo DVRs

US MSO Cable ONE is making the HBO GO service available via its DVR service, which is powered by TiVo.



tivo2The HBO GO app gives users who subscribe to HBO linear service access to HBO's entire library, including original series, Hollywood movies, sports, documentaries and other premium content.

In addition to HBO GO, the WWE app and the Toon Goggles app have also launched on Cable ONE TiVo devices, and the company expects to launch the Hulu OTT service later this summer.

"We're making it easier than ever for customers to access the content they want, when they want it," said Cable ONE vice-president of marketing at Joe Felbab.

The news comes as Rovi Corp follows through with its plans to acquire TiVo for about $1.1 billion. One of the attractive pieces of the deal for Rovi is TiVo’s reach into the cable MSO market in the United States.
