Zee News goes free-to-air

Hindi TV channel Zee News will be available to viewers across India free-to-air (FTA) from 8 June 2016.
ZeeNews“Zee News’ mission has always been to nurture more informed and aware citizens, and hence we decided that Zee News will go free-to-air. This will aid rural India to explore moments of optimism and become more informed, creating value and making a difference to their lives,” said R K Arora, executive director and CEO, Zee News.
Sudhir Chaudhary, editor, Zee News, added: “My innumerable interactions with people across India had revealed their urge to view Zee News even in remote locations, but were unable to afford a paid channel. With Zee News going free-to-air, our constant endeavour to create news for public welfare will now finally also impact millions of lives in rural India.”
According to The Brand Trust Report, India Study 2016, by TRA Research, Zee News is the most trusted Hindi broadcast news channel. The Zee Media network of ten news channels recently passed the 150 million viewers mark, the company said.
