Mediapro to open 4K units in Spain, Argentina

Spanish producer Mediapro is reinforcing its Ultra HD production by acquiring 4K equipment for mobile units in Spain and Argentina.

mediapro 4kAccording to the group, two more 4K mobile units will be created in Spain, which Mediapro will equip with 57 Ultra HD cameras for TV content production. Such equipment specifically targets the production of large events, like football games, for international audiences.

Mediapro is also creating its first 4K unit in Argentina, which will be equipped with eight UHDTV cameras.

Spain’s largest production house has recently been strengthening its 4K footprint, having produced the last editions of the El Clásico football match in Ultra HD for a global audience, in collaboration with Sony and NeuLion.

In addition, it has produced several sports events in 4K in Turkey, two of the latest editions of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, and recently closed two Ultra HD agreements with broadcasters in Portugal and Turkey.
