Subscribers to EnterPlay in Brazil will be granted access to WatchESPN, an ESPN over-the-top (OTT) service, just before the summer Olympics kick off.

enterplay multiplataformaWatchESPN, a service similar to ESPN Play, streams the pay-TV network ESPN Extra live, as well as ESPN-U and ESPN SEC, two channels developed for OTT platforms. It also includes a video-on-demand (VOD) sports catalogue.

The ESPN service will be available on EnterPlay’s Web TV packages, which deliver video via IP to multiple devices, including mobile and smart screens.

“EnterPlay intends to offer quality entertainment content to Brazilian viewers, which is why we are signing several partnerships to increase our catalogue,” said Jorge Salles, COO, EnterPlay. “As ESPN has the most complete sports channels’ offering, it reinforces our strategy.”

“We are aware of sports fans consuming content everywhere at any time,” added Marcello Zeni, affiliates VP, ESPN Brazil. “We are therefore increasing investment in multi-platform content, and partnering with EnterPlay enables us to take ESPN’s sports to a connected audience.”
