In an unprecedented collaboration with Netflix, Univision has premiered the critically acclaimed series Narcos across the US.

narcos netflixIn addition to this, the first Netflix original format produced in Latin America, Univision’s sister network UniMás will also broadcast Club de Cuervos, the first Spanish-language production of the subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service, which is set to air in September.

Both moves target growing Hispanic audiences with formats that aim to directly engage millennials and, especially, the bilingual community.

Narcos, the second season of which is about to premiere on Netflix, will air one episode per day, Monday through Friday, during Univision Network’s prime time. The Golden Globe-nominated series, which chronicles the story of Colombia’s drug cartels and Pablo Escobar, has become one of Netflix’s latest successes.

In addition to cable and satellite platforms, Narcos is also available through Univision NOW, the company’s streaming service for iOS and Android mobile devices, and the Web.
