Jop Network’s ‘life spirit’ TV channel Lifemantra has contracted Prime Entertainment Group for international distribution of content focusing on zen, health, lifestyle, cooking and spirituality.

The new deal will see Prime offer 80 hours of high definition (HD) Lifemantra programming. The Paris- and LA-based producer/distributor already handles a catalogue of health and fitness programmes which it claims it has successfully placed among international channels in territories such as Latin America, USA, France, Greece, China and Russia.

Series included in the deal are Cleansveda (43x24’), which promotes wellbeing through cleansing diets, zen attitude and yoga practices; Soul Kitchen (26x24’), which serves a taste of world cuisine with wholesome ingredients; and Divine Yoga (13x24’), a show that is described as being able to ‘empower mind and body’ through yoga practice inspired by ‘divine energy forms’ and stories from Indian mythology.

Commenting on the new contract, Prime managing director David Freydt, said: “We have a good success internationally with all our fitness, health and lifestyle content. Having the distribution of the full catalogue of Lifemantra TV is great. We love the quality, we can’t wait to introduce these new shows to our clients. “
