Production house Keshet International (KI) has licensed a social experiment format, Boxed, to Globo Brazil, the country’s largest television network.

The format sees two people in serious dispute embark on a unique experiment. Participants enter an expertly designed box with the help of a trained mediator outside to sort out their differences. Whether it takes two hours or two days, they are unable to leave until they’ve worked it out. Produced by Globo in-house, the 12-episode series will launch in 2017.

“We are excited that Globo is the first partner to come on board as Boxed begins its global journey,” said Kelly Wright, head of Latin America at Keshet International. “Social experiment formats are definitely in vogue at the moment and is Boxed one of the best on the market. It is revealing, but also heart-warming, dealing head-on with the subject of immovable feuds - it provides a way through. We're proud to introduce this ‘take away’ programming to the vibrant and plugged-in Brazilian market.”
