OWNZONES Media Network (OMN) has launched Zypline, a proprietary media asset management (MAM) and distribution platform for the over-the-top (OTT) market.

Designed as a digital workbench for non-technical users, Zypline is said to be able to eliminate the and process of preparing content and associated assets like subtitles, watermarking and timecodes to meet the varying technical standards of each distribution endpoint. Supported platforms include Roku, Hulu, Verizon, Comcast, LeEco and more than a dozen other OTT services.

“Zypline unlocks the value of media companies’ vast content libraries, allowing them to bring hundreds or even thousands of titles to a broad range of top OTT platforms with a minimum of effort,” said OMN founder and CEO Dan Goman. “As consumers accelerate their move away from traditional entertainment platforms to a variety of OTT options, having the ability to effectively distribute content to this highly fragmented market has become increasingly important. With Zypline, media companies can now keep up.”

Key features include secure digital asset management, multiple output formats and containers, customizable workflows to support batch processing, the ability to assemble complex composite media and support for multiple worldwide delivery windows.

“Digital distribution no longer needs to be a pain point for movie studios and media owners,” said Doug Lee, head of programming at OMN and former EVP, worldwide digital media at MGM. “Zypline handles all of the complexity under the hood, empowering media companies to deliver content to OTT platforms around the world more quickly and at lower cost than ever before possible. It’s a huge advance for digital delivery, allowing clients to maximise the value and reach of their content libraries via an elegant, powerful and user-friendly dashboard.”
