The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) has elected Jim Norton as chairman of the IAB board of directors.
Norton is the chief business officer and president of revenue at Condé Nast, and formerly served at AOL.
The IAB also elected NBCUniversal EVP Scott Schiller to the position of vice chairman, a position held previously by Norton. The two will guide the IAB agenda in 2017.
“I am proud of the significant progress the IAB board of directors has made during my term as chair to galvanise IAB’s position at the centre of the digital media and marketing conversation,” said Lauren Wiener, outgoing IAB board chair. “Jim’s deep understanding of advertising technology’s complexities will provide invaluable leadership in the year ahead. I am excited to continue serving on the board with him and look forward to our continued collaboration.”
Added Norton: "I look forward to leading the IAB board of directors as we tackle delivering consumers a superlative user experience, supporting quality content, fighting fraud, optimising data, adopting and enforcing technical standards and more. We will explore growing opportunities for content creators in mobile, video, and emerging formats and develop new avenues for IAB to advance the digital economy.”
