Kenya’s director of public prosecution has been given more time to decide on firearms charges against a former UK*cable executive.
Naiobi News says Richard Alden denies being in possession of a firearm without a certificate.
The former Ono Cable and Videotron executive is currently on Sh 1 million bail following the shooting of his mistress Grace*Kinyanjui at his home outside Nairobi.
The 42 year old died from a single gunshot wound, but Alden claims he was in a different room at the time.
The victim’s family accepted the death was unintentional and a hearing related to an out of court settlement is due on March 1.
