FOX and AT&T unable to reach distribution deal in LATAM, Brazil

Negotiations between FOX and AT&T for in Spanish-speaking Latin America have frozen and their previous distribution agreements in Brazil have been broken.
This has lead to the entire FOX portfolio going dark in SKY Brazil, as both groups have been unable to reach a new commercial deal in the country after months of negotiations, with FOX channels losing a potential audience of 5.25 million households in the country.
The situation is the same in the Latin American Spanish-speaking countries in which DirecTV delivers satellite pay-TV. FOX was set to pull the plug on DirecTV across LATAM by the end of January, but both companies have decided to extend negotiations.
No more information has been given to subscribers, although FOX networks is still airing for DirecTV’s seven million homes in LATAM, and both companies have stated there is still room for a final agreement to be reached.
Fox manages 19 pay-TV channels in the region, including some of the leading networks such as Fox, Fx, Film Zone, Nat Geo, Fox Sport, Fox Sport 2, Fox Sport 3, Cinecanal, Fox Life and Fox Movie.
