Expanding across Latin America, Spain’s Grupo Secuoya has premiered its first Peruvian format, Mujeres sin filtro, on America TV.

Peru’s leading free-to-air (FTA) network has been a solid ally of Secuoya since the group launched a commercial operation in the country when it purchased the production house Imizu back in July 2014.

In fact, the main business of Secuoya Holding Peru is to produce content for America TV. Mujeres sin filtro is a 100% Peruvian format in which four local artists - Gianella Neyra, Katia Condos, Rebeca Escribens and Almendra Gomelsky - host a Saturday night talk show.

On its premiere the programme became the 13th most-watched show of the day on America TV, with a 6.5 rating.

Peru was the first country in which Grupo Secuoya launched an international operation, and it has become a cornerstone of the company’s LATAM strategy. Shortly after acquiring Imizu, the Spanish group formed a joint venture with Chile’s Fabula.
