The first IPTV service to be introduced in the country, PTCL Smart TV now has subscribers in 150 major cities across Pakistan. It now offers over 100 live TV channels as well as a large content library of movies, TV shows and children’s programmes via set-top boxes (STBs) and with an Android or iOS app.
“Digital entertainment is PTCL’s key priority and our partnership with ICFLIX is another step in this direction. We look forward to working with ICFLIX to offer world class content to our customers in Pakistan,” said Adnan Shahid, chief commercial officer, PTCL.
The ICFLIX video-on-demand (VOD) service will now provide PTCL Smart TV viewers with a range of Arabic, Bollywood and Hollywood movies and TV series.
“We are excited at strengthening our partnership further with PTCL and look forward to providing high quality movies and TV shows to Pakistani consumers,” added Amine Lalami, chief commercial officer, ICFLIX.
The companies started working with each other in 2014, to introduce ICFLIX Internet-streamed entertainment in Pakistan.
