To celebrate the upcoming third season of Amazon’s alternate history original series, Man in the High Castle, the online giant and digital marketing consultancy Campfire at SapientRazorfish have created an audio storytelling experience.
The new Resistance Radio is intended to immerse listeners in the show’s fictional post-WWII reality and will be available across online, mobile and experiential platforms.
To help keep viewers engaged inbetween seasons of the show, Campfire and Amazon developed a playlist of classic 1960s songs, which have been reimagined by producers Sam Cohen and Danger Mouse as well as popular indie and alternative artists, including Beck, Nora Jones and The Shins. The new song versions reflect the show’s universe in which the Axis powers won WWII.
Resistance Radio will keep viewers thinking about Man in the High Castle, but also the songs will be featured on the following season, along with Resistance Radio being written into the script of the actual show.
The integrated programme places audiences 17 years after the Allied defeat, as American resistance fighters broadcast messages of hope via Resistance Radio – illustrated via an online content hub streaming three Resistance Radio broadcasts, a mobile application offering a similar audio storytelling experience as well as an experiential booth and concert series at SXSW.
