DirecTV’s Latin American subscribers will be able to gain access to a virtual channel focused on Game of Thrones, prior to the premiere of season seven.

SD and HD feeds will be available until 14 July for both pre-paid and post-paid subscribers. The network will air the four initial seasons of the series, while the fifth and sixth will be only available for HBO/MAX subscribers through DirecTV Play.

The virtual pay-TV signal will complete its Game of Thrones-focused line-up with episodes of other HBO hits, including Westworld, the LATAM production El Jardín de Bronce, Big Little Lies, Silicon Valley and The Night Of.

The channel will be distributed for DirecTV subscribers in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela and the Caribbean.

The move is aimed at linear pay-TV consumers following HBO announcing a move to release its standalone streaming, video-on-demand (VOD) platform across 17 Latin American markets. All the network’s titles will also be available through the over-the-top (OTT) service.
