FuboTV adds Scripps content to live streaming service

Video streaming service fuboTV has teamed up with Scripps Networks Interactive to add three US channels to its entry-level bundle.

HGTV, Food Network and Travel Channel will be available on the over-the-top (OTT) service both as live channels and with shows on-demand from 1 July on the Fubo Premier pack, which currently costs US$34.99 a month. Already boosted by a recent content deal with*CBS, the bundle now comprises about 60 sports, entertainment, lifestyle, news and information channels.

“Partnering with Scripps Networks allows us to round out our basic bundle nicely, complementing our core sports offering with some of the most popular programming on TV,” said David Gandler, co-founder and CEO, fuboTV.

Henry Ahn, president of content distribution and marketing, Scripps Networks Interactive added: “Our world-class lifestyle content is a perfect complement to the fuboTV service and we are thrilled to partner with a sport centric OTT service to bring the best in class in home, food and travel programming that will delight and entertain their users”.

DIY Network*and*Cooking Channel*will also become available to Fubo Premier subscribers as part of its add-on options*at a later date.

fuboTV recently closed its US$55 million*Series C fundraising*round, which included an investment from Scripps Networks Interactive, as well as 21st Century Fox and Sky.
