Vodafone expands Spanish Ultra HD sports offer

In a move that it says is meeting the content demands of an audience growing in diversity, Vodafone is adding AMC Networks’ 4K channels, Betis TV and Iberalia TV to its pay-TV portfolio in Spain.
After reaching an agreement with AMC Networks International Iberia, Vodafone is expanding its Ultra HD footprint with Canal Cocina 4K and Canal Decasa 4K. These will be added to the TV Extra package. Both channels have been*recently released by the company, joining Odisea 4K, AMC’s first Ultra HD-only network to be launched in Spain and Portugal.
Canal Cocina 4K is a themed channel focused on gastronomical content, of which AMC producers 85%. Throughout the summer, the network is to premiere three shows exclusively produced and post-produced in Ultra HD.
With 65% of in-house content, Canal Decasa 4K is a lifestyle channel focused on fashion, beauty, wellness and leisure. Three 4K-produced shows are also set to premiere within the next months.
In addition to AMC Networks’ Ultra HD portfolio, Vodafone One TV*is to add Betis TV, the official network of the Seville-based football club. Through this agreement, the Real Betis Balompié signal goes nationwide on the TV Total, Vodafone Sport and Vodafone Bares packages.
Iberalia TV has been added to Vodafone’s Pack Caza. The channel, focused on documentaries, delivers a comprehensive programming about hunting, fishing and nature.
