Arabsat offers TV5 Monde channels across MENA

TV5 Monde is making two channels available free-to-air across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) on Arabsat’s DVB-S2 satellite platform.
TV5 Monde Maghreb Orient HD and TV5 Monde Style HD will be added to the HD TV platform, which is broadcast from Arabsat’s BADR-4 satellite located at 26 degrees East.

Our new free-to-air DVB-S2 platform gives us a great opportunity to bring more premium content of HD channels – exclusively – to Arabsat viewers,” said Khalid Balkheyour, president and CEO, Arabsat. “Meanwhile, our customers of worldwide international and regional TV brands will find Arabsat new free-to-air launched DVB-S2 platform as the ultimate solution to expand their businesses and broadcast more HD channels over MENA, yet, with a reliable cost-efficient solution.”

From 3 July, Arabsat’s DVB-S2 platform will carry TV5 Monde Maghreb Orient HD, TV5 Monde Style HD, BBC World News HD, France 24 Arabic HD, France 24 English HD, TRT World HD, and Medi1-TV HD. France 24 French HD is also set to join the platform soon, said Arabsat in a statement.
