MTV launches on Snapchat Discover in France

Leading entertainment channel and global youth brand MTV has unveiled a new localised Publisher Story on Snapchat’s Discover platform in France.
MTV’s International and domestic US Snapchat Discover content features material created exclusively for the platform and updated daily.* From artist takeovers to exclusive behind-the-scenes access and world video premieres, MTV has built its Snapchat profile around the world by using Snap capabilities, including its own organic brand accounts, its Discover Publisher Stories, and Our Stories, which are curated by teams of editors at Snapchat. Recently, MTV US debuted its first Snapchat Show, a newly reimagined Cribs that offers viewers a sneak peek into a different room or area of their favourite artists and athletes homes.
MTV was among the first brands to offer original content for the platform. In addition to the three MTV Snapchat Discover editions, Snapchat also features Comedy Central on its domestic US and International Snapchat Discover platform.
The French offer joins MTV’s already successful International and US Snapchat Discover channels, this is Viacom’s first fully localised, non-English channel to debut on the social media platform that is increasingly branching out into TV.
MTV is also the first television channel in France to join Snapchat Discover, offering French Snapchatters exclusive, Snaps customised for the national language and updated daily combining video and editorial news.* MTV says that to ensure a steady stream of fresh pop culture content featuring fans’ favourite artists, celebrities and its content, a team in France will produce Publisher Stories for the platform, in partnership with colleagues based in London and in New York.
