Aiming to offer viewers access to art masterpieces in Ultra HD, and propose to content providers and producers a new way to develop and monetise their content in 4K, Alchimie has launched ArtView.
At launch, the subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service will showcase hundreds of worldwide well-known masterpieces with close to 30 hours of original programmes divided into four main categories: Central Aisle, Myth Gallery, Drawing Room, Landscape Gallery. It is designed to allow users to visualise in 4K quality a catalogue of over 200 masterpieces and art works from the likes of Van Gogh, Cezanne, Mannet, Boticelli and Durrel, all associated with masterwork of classical music by Bach, Mozart and Bizet among others. New paintings from the main museum in the world will be added every week to this on-TV museum.
ArtView completes one of Alchimie’s original bouquets, namely MOODS, which is gathering different channels in the slow TV genre area and presents subscribers with a variety of contents, including landscapes, wild life nature and city vistas. MOODS is available on Android TV boxes and smart TVs.
“The launch of this 4K offer is a major step in the development of Alchimie,” said chief content officer Priscilla Siney. “It will give to our client, content providers and producers the ability to benefit of a fully integrated expertise in the treatment, distribution and monetisation of contents in Ultra HD. This launch is only a first step, as Alchimie aims at developing a very large and qualitative catalogue of 4K contents to be proposed on all the different platforms where we distribute and will distribute the contents of our content provider partners: digital platforms, telecom operators and device manufacturers.”
