Prime Entertainment has sold six episodes of its Close Up series to Sky New Zealand for transmission on Sky Movies from September.
Close Up, which comprises 91x26-minute episodes, is a set of portraits of Hollywood stars including Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson, Silvester Stallone, and Leonardo Dicaprio (pictured).
“Our show Close Up is really doing great these days. I think that the fact that each and every episode is regularly updated really makes a difference. It has been our fourth international deal with the series within the last month. And the Sky channels are really great,” said David Freydt, managing director, Prime Entertainment Group.
Sky New Zealand, the country’s leading pay-TV network, now has 729,058 residential subscribers.
“We’ve had the pleasure to start working with Sky New Zealand in 2011, and it’s always a satisfaction to see clients keep coming and finding what they need in our catalogue,” added Freydt.
Following the deal, Sky New Zealand joins TV channels around the world in airing Close Up, including CANAL + Overseas, AXN in Germany, AMC Networks EMEA, SABC in South Africa, Silknet in Georgia, C-More in the Nordic region, Turkey’s TV8 and ABS-CBN in the Philippines.
