Lagardère Studios and Maagalot Productions have both purchased the local rights to the factual format OVO in France and Israel, respectively.
OVO, produced by Israel’s Armoza Formats and Spain’s Mediapro, sees an egg-shaped structure placed in the middle of a city as a confession booth to anyone who wants to enter.
“We are happy to be working with Armoza and the creators of OVO on this format, which tells stories in a new, real, innovative and emotional way. We are confident in its future success and that we will find the right home for OVO in Israel,” said Ronnie Manor, CEO of Maagalot Productions.
The format was also recently taken to Germany by the Good Times production and distribution company.
“This format is incredibly relevant to audiences everywhere in today’s world – with our lives having more distractions and being busier than ever, OVO provides the space for us to be heard. We’re thrilled to take this show to France and Israel and to be partnering with Lagardère and Maagalot to make it a success,” said Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats.
