Mediaset España’s international signal, CincoMAS, has been added to Televisa’s satellite platform Sky in Mexico and Central America.

In Mexico, CincoMAS will be available through Sky’s HD premium offering, including the Black, HBO/MAX, FOX Premium, Platinum and Gold packages.

Later this month, the international, Spanish-language feed will be added to Sky’s portfolio in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Belize, Panama, the Dominican Republic and Haiti.

The deal with Televisa is Mediaset’s second distribution agreement recently, after the media company partnered with Claro to launch CincoMAS in Chile, Peru, Paraguay and Ecuador. The network is also available in Argentina.

According to the Spanish company, CincoMAS will soon extend its footprint across the US, Canada and Colombia.

“CincoMAS’ presence in Sky Mexico is excellent news for Latin America’s broadcasting industry. For Mediaset España, it is a key move in our strategy to reach out to an audience that is demanding our content,” said Yolanda Giordani, manager of CincoMAS. “Mexico is already the Latin American country from which our websites get most traffic”.
