Aiming to boost the development of broadcaster video ad strategies and what it perceives are high value spaces, over-the-top (OTT) video ad serving platform SpotX has created an Advanced Solutions Group.
Explaining the rationale for the launch, the ad tech firm says that linear television and digital video converge, broadcasters, TV networks, telecommunications companies and other enterprise-level companies now increasingly require technical and operational assistance to innovate and transform their business models. To that end, it adds that the new global consulting arm will be focused on guiding advertisers’ and media owners’ video advertising strategies.
The Advanced Solutions Group will attempt to assist enterprise-level advertisers and media owners in planning modern architecture for their video advertising strategies. This includes designing end-to-end solutions for data activation, technical set-ups and product development in a way that enables buyers and sellers to transact around context and audience in a real-time, protected framework. The Advanced Solutions Group will also set out to steer strategic development for enterprise-level clients who need an enhanced degree of involvement to help them more successfully monetise their assets across all devices, particularly in emerging, high spaces like OTT.*
The group will be led by Allen Klosowski, (pictured) who joined SpotX in 2013 to head mobile and connected TV initiatives and who will now assume the title of VP, Advanced Solutions Group.
Commenting on what he will set out to do, Klosowski said: “Audiences are fragmenting across many different streaming platforms for live and linear content, not just on-demand video, in increasing numbers. Our broadcast and enterprise customers face significant technical and operational challenges in transitioning to cross-screen monetisation.”
