On 1 July 2017, UPC purchased the cable infrastructure from Fernsehgenossenschaft Boll-Sinneringen. Fernsehgenossenschaft Boll-Sinneringen is happy to be entrusting its some 900 customers to an experienced partner.
Fernsehgenossenschaft Boll-Sinneringen constructed and maintained the cable network in the Bern municipality of Vechigen in the districts of Boll, Sinneringen and Utzigen. Recently, the demands of the digital society for the highest technical quality and the best coverage of customer needs have been increasingly difficult to meet, leading to FG Boll-Sinneringen’s decision to sell its cable network to UPC.
Know-how and innovative capacity guarantee future network quality
“We are pleased that we are now able to welcome the existing customers of FG Boll-Sinneringen to UPC. We will serve the residents of the municipality of Vechigen (Boll, Sinneringen and Utzigen) directly and are expanding our powerful network in the Swiss municipalities. This will also enable customers in rural regions to benefit from our high-power portfolio and our premium TV offers,” says Urs Reinhard, Vice President Strategy and Business Development at UPC.
