One America News, AWE gain content distribution head

Herring Networks has announced that 30-year cable industry veteran Bruce Littman has joined its senior executive staff as the networks’ EVP of content distribution.

Before joining the parent company of national cable networks One America News (OAN) and A Wealth of Entertainment (AWE), Littman held roles at Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, MSG Networks, USA Network, FX and Showtime.

“We’re pleased to have Bruce join our executive team. It’s an exciting time for our networks, which have seen explosive subscriber growth and strong ratings performance over the last year,” said Charles Herring, president of Herring Networks.

Earlier this year, One America News Network and AWE joined the DIRECTV and DIRECTV NOW programming line-up, bringing the total number of subscribers to 35 million for One America News Network. In 2016, ratings for the cable news network broke into the top 50 for national cable networks per set top box. For Q3 2017 to date, One America News Network is the fourth rated news service, only trailing CNN, MSNBC and FNC, and ranked as the 36th national cable network.
