Equestrian lifestyle channel, Ride TV is nearing the final hurdle loser to launching in the UK after the confirmation of its UK licence from Ofcom.
A privately held corporation based in Fort Worth, Texas, Ride Television Network was formed in 2011 and claims to be the only TV network devoted exclusively to the horse and rural living lifestyle and is available in high definition 24 hours each day. It produces over 90% of its content and offers original children’s programming, documentaries, reality shows, and other content for the equestrian and rural lifestyle markets. Cornerstone programming comprises exclusive, live, championship equestrian sports.
Having had previous meetings with platforms and agencies in the UK, Ride TV’s senior management are now actively pursuing a EPG slot and offices. The UK will be Ride TV’s international headquarters and will also be producing local content.
