Brazilian media giant Globosat has reached an agreement with the European football organisation UEFA to broadcast Euro 2020 across several platforms.

The agreement enables Globosat to cover the 24-team football championship through linear channels - including Brazil’s free-to-air leading network Globo and the pay-TV channel SporTV - and its digital platform globoesporte.com, with both live programming and video-on-demand (VOD) content.

Through this agreement, Globosat is expanding its long-term partnership with UEFA. SporTV has covered every edition of the championship since 1992, while it has also been part of Globo’s programming since 2012.

“We are delighted to renew our historic partnership with Globo and Globosat for Euro 2020,” said Guy-Laurent Epstein, director of marketing for UEFA Events. “Its comprehensive programming planning and massive reach will ensure a great platform for football fans in Brazil to attend the top UEFA competition."

Euro 2020 will be played across 13 European countries, while the UK will be home to the semi-finals and the final, to be played in London at the legendary Wembley stadium.
