Publiespaña to manage advertising for Gol Mediapro

Publiespaña, Mediaset’s advertising unit in Spain, is to manage advert commercialisation for Gol, Mediapro’s free-to-air (FTA) sports-focused channel.

Mediaset is therefore expanding its footprint across the Spanish advertising market by taking on one of the newest FTA signals in the country, which has managed to break viewing records thanks to its weekly coverage of La Liga.

According to Mediaset, Gol is the themed channel which best addresses the commercial target of males over 16. “Gol’s programming offering includes the live coverage of one La Liga game per week and the Copa del Rey, including exclusive rights over the semi-finals, as well as two games per week of La Liga’s second division, recaps of every match and analysis,” said Mediaset.

Publiespaña is the largest advertising licensee company in Spain and the biggest source of income for Mediaset. According to the latest figures, the media company invoiced over €490 million through advertising during the first half of 2017.
