Secuoya on the look-out for new digital businesses

Spanish production house Secuoya has appointed Eduarto Basarte as director of corporate and digital, with the remit to create, develop and manage new businesses, particularly digital.

Basarte joins Secuoya from Vocento, a media company focused mainly on print formats, where he was director of marketing content and native advertising. He will now try to identify new digital opportunities for Secuoya.

Through the role, he will lead the creation and optimisation of digital channels and content, including Secuoya’s multichannel network (MCN) on YouTube, Viewin, and the digital solutions’ services for over 50 brands.

In addition to working for Vocento, Basarte created UE Estudio, the branded content unit of Unidad Editorial, owner of El Mundo and Marca and the DTT slots currently rented to Discovery Max and Mediapro’s Gol.

He holds an MBA from the IE Business School of Madrid and has been teaching digital content and marketing in ESADE, The Valley DBS and Futurizz.
